Alstroemeria Pitchounes ‘Gaspard' adds a touch of the exotic to your garden with its rich, burgundy-coloured petals and creamy-yellow throats, speckled with deeper tones. Ideal for adding interest and allure to pots and window boxes or the front of a border. A magnet for the bees and butterflies, Alstroemeria Pitchounes ‘Gaspard' also makes an ideal addition to a bouquet or vase and produces blooms from as early as late May right through to the first frosts for plentiful displays. A handy tip for using them as cut flowers is to remove flowers by pulling the stems gently from the bottom of the plant. The resulting 'wound' initiates the formation of new flowers for even more longevity. ‘Gaspard’ prefers a site with moist, well-drained soil of any aspect. Plant this warm and welcoming alstroemeria in full sun or partial shade. Foliage is a lush, green colour and held from March to November - giving extended interest as Alstroemeria Pitchounes ‘Gaspard' grows to a height of 30cm and spread of 50cm.
