Aquilegias have many common names, such as Granny's Bonnet, or Columbine. In folklore, carrying a posy of Columbine was said to stir the affections of someone you love. Despite the delicate appearance, Aquilegia Christa Barlow is robust and easy to grow in moist, well-drained soil, in sun or part shade. Aquilegia will self-seed around your garden, or alternatively, collect the seed to sow and raise more plants the following year. Growing to a height of 90cm (36") and spreading to around 30-45cm (12-18"), Aquilegia Christa Barlow makes an excellent addition to your early season garden.
