A delightful duo of eye-catching Clematis varieties that are both loved for their profusion of stunning blooms. From early summer to early autumn, masses of large blooms appear on climbing foliage, making them ideal for growing up trellises, fences, arches and pergolas, where the flowers will add both colour and beauty. Both varieties have been awarded a prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit so you can be assured that they will reliably perform well in your garden. Clematis ‘Comtesse De Bouchard’ offers soft pink to mauve saucer-shaped blooms with a slightly ruffled texture and contrasting yellow stamens and grows to a height of around 2.5m. Clematis viticella ‘Etoile Violette’ produces masses of vibrant purple, velvety flowers and will grow to a height of around 4m. Both prefer to be planted in a well-drained soil in a position of sun or part shade. Hardy perennials, they will happily cope with temperatures down to -20°C.
