Cornus are a popular mainstay of many gardens, their versatility and ornamental appeal giving interest when many gardens most need it.
Nectar-rich white blooms attract bees and butterflies in spring and early summer and give way to plump berries, much loved by birds. But the real show commences in autumn when the lush green foliage matures to golden colours then falls to reveal the colourful bark.
