Feed in spring with balanced liquid fertiliser to keep plants healthy and floriferous and deadhead frequently to encourage a continuous stream of blooms. Prune and compost foliage in autumn and mulch crowns for added protection. Gaillardias are half-hardy and have an RHS hardiness rating H3
