Distinctive pale blue flowers, with white throats and contrasting royal blue-purple tips, and markings with orange-yellow touches. Held on strong stems above thin, strap-like, grey-green foliage which becomes dormant by late spring. Flowering in late winter and early spring, they flower at the same time and beautifully compliment Snowdrops. Iris reticulata are the jewels of the late winter and early spring garden. For generations artists have sought to capture the beauty of Iris on canvas and nowadays photographers have taken up this quest.
