Blooming for an exceptional period - usually from June to November, Salvias add an attractive airy
quality to garden borders and pots. The aromatic foliage is thought to help keep pests and diseases at bay.
The ‘Timeless Salvia’ Collection comprises; ‘African Sky’ – large blue blooms, height 40-80cm, hardiness H3; greggii ‘Cool Cream’ - large, creamy-white flowers with a hint of blush pink, dark purple stems and calyces, height 80cm, hardy to between -10°C and -15°C; ‘Dyson’s Maroon’ - almost luminous, velvety, dark red-maroon blooms, height 80cm, hardy to around -10°C; ‘Hot Lips’ – colour-changing blooms in red and white, height 90cm, hardy to -15°C; ‘La Mancha’ - creamy lemon blooms with a delicate pink tinge, height 90cm, hardy to -10°C; ‘Lemon Light’ - masses of pale, lemon-yellow blooms almost seem to glow, height 75cm, hardy to -15°C; x jamensis ‘Nachtvlinder’ – rich and velvety hooded blooms in dark, plum-purple shades, height 75cm, hardy to -15°C; ‘Naturally Fuchsia’ – a bold splash of vibrant fuchsia-pink blooms, height 45-65cm, hardy to -10°C; ‘Peach Cobbler’ - as near to an orange Salvia as you can get, height 90cm, hardy to -5°C; ‘Peach Parfait’ - peachy cream colours accented by dark, dramatic calyces, height 90cm, hardy to -5°C; leucantha x chiapensis ‘Phyllis' Fancy’ – one of the tallest at 1.2m, downy white blooms with a lavender blue tint and dark blue-purple calyces, hardy to -5°C; and x jamensis ‘Senorita Leah’ - clusters of salmon-pink, open-mouthed blooms, height 90cm, hardy to -10°C.
Salvia prefer well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay, in a sunny or partially shaded position.
